So how great was your summer yet? Very, I hope. As for Selena Gomez, well, it seems like she’s having the time of her life right now travelling around Europe, splashing in the water with friends; all that while wearing the nicest of clothes. This outfit she donned a few days ago in Italy was my absolute favorite Selena lately. The young actress wore a gorgeous white lace romper from Zimmermann, paired it with Ray-Ban aviator sunglasses and finished off her ensemble with Brian Atwood‘s super hot “Abell” studded heels. I loved Selena’s sexy and stylish look so much that I tried to recreate it for you on a more accessible level. You like?
This celebrity look of Miranda Kerr isn’t exactly new or anything, but I have always loved this classy outfit of hers, so when I saw the elegant pencil dress from Oasis a few days ago, I knew it’d be the perfect budget dress alternative for Miranda’s body-con Victoria Beckham frock. Do you like my take on this celebrity look 4 less?

I really like Karen Walker‘s eyewear line. Sure, a few of the styles might look a little crazy, but the “Super Duper Strength” sunnies below are absolutely fabulous, don’t you agree? I especially like them in tortoise, but there’s no way I could justify spending a whopping $280 on a pair of sunglasses. Luckily for me (and possibly you as well) I found a couple of great and wallet-friendly alternatives that look just as stylish as the designer original!
UPDATE (06/16/2013): Found another Karen Walker Super Duper look-a-like version in these black oversized sunnies from Forever 21 and they cost only $5.80! There’s also another very similar pair of sunglasses available here.
If you’re a sucker for tortoise sunglasses like me, check out these sunglasses by ALDO. The tortoise gradient is different, but the shape and overall look are virtually identical. Also, these are a budget-friendly $12 only!
If you prefer these sunglasses in black like Blair Eadie from style blog Atlantic-Pacific, then these shades by FRAMEWORK are a great look-a-like for Karen Walker’s Super Duper Strength sunnies which cost less than $3. Now that’s a steal deal, right?

I love these posh cat-eye frames by Dior. They are classic yet so on-trend this season. Wear them with your work wardrobe as well as your jeans on the weekend and look instantly polished and fabulous. I’m a huge fan of how blogger/stylist Blair (from Atlantic-Pacific) wears her shades. By adding just this one accessory, suddenly her whole outfit looks spontaneous and way more fun! But if you aren’t one to spend a lot on sunglasses, either for budget reasons or just because you keep misplacing them, then read on for where to find a similar pair for way less!
Triple Optic High Pointed Vintage Cat Eye Sunglasses
Yes, can you believe these are only $6.15? Crazy to think, and they are such a great look-alike! Sure, they may not have the same proportions as the designer original, but are simply fantastic if you just aim for the same look! These Triple Optic sunnies have dark lenses and most likely pretty good UV protection, too. And the best thing is that you can get the measurements online to check the width/size before you buy. So get yourself a pair of these sassy retro frames, pile your hair up high and get ready to rock that little bit that’s left of summer in awesome style!
You might know of my weakness for anything striped, but striped sunglasses? That was new even to me, the stripe freak. I can’t rememeber having seen a pair like these round striped sunnies by House of Holland before. And I must say: I like them! Sure, they’re definitely not for the faint of heart and require a lot of confidence to be worn out in public. But if you’re bold and daring enough, I totally think you should rock them. That is, if you have $250 ready and available to spend on them, of course.
HOT DEAL: Use promo code “GET10” to get $10 off your order of $100+ at Chicwish!
So you like the look but don’t have the money to go for the original? No problem. I found this pretty perfect dupe at Chicwish which sells for roughly less than 10% of the original. Yeah, you’re welcome.
