InTheirCloset.com x Handbag Heaven One Year Anniversary Giveaway

Handbag Heaven Giveaway

To celebrate our first blog birthday we have a great and fabulous giveaway for you. The great people who run Handbag Heaven are giving away 2 of their fabulous bags to 2 lucky InTheirCloset.com readers! Awesome, right?

Handbag Heaven is an online shop with a huge selection of designer and celebrity-inspired handbags which come at affordable prices (between $15 and $75). I also happened to blog about a few of their designer inspired pieces previously (e.g. the Chanel 2.55 or Marc Jacobs Stam bag).

The Rules

Only US and Canadian entries allowed (sorry international readers). You can join the giveaway until next Sunday, 11/22 (11:59 PM EST time). Winners will be drawn shortly thereafter.

In order to enter this giveaway, please head over to Handbag Heaven and choose which one of their 400+ bags you like best. This will also be the bag you get if you win this giveaway. Then, leave a comment here with a link to the bag you’d like to win (specify color if there are multiple to choose from).

Please remember to leave your (first) name and a valid email address when writing the comment (just fill out the comment form correctly and you’ll be fine). A comment equals 1 entry. You can leave multiple comments here if you want to, but only your first one will be accounted.

If you want to increase your chances of winning, you can score more entries by doing one or all of the following things:

  • Follow @intheircloset on Twitter (1 entry)
  • Follow @handbagheaven on Twitter (1 entry)

If you decide to do one of the things in the list above, please mention them in your comment here on this page. You can add as many comments as you want if you should decide to do things one by one. Just remember to always use the same email address when writing a comment, so the additional entries can be credited to you.

This is an example of how your comment could look like:

My favorite Handbag Heaven bag is the “Tina Studded Rose Satchel” in black. This is the link: http://www.handbagheaven.com/galian-handbags-rose-satchel.html. I am also following InTheirCloset on Twitter (username: XYZ or Twitter profile link) and I have blogged about your giveaway on my own blog: www.HERE-GOES-THE-LINK.com.

This example would sum up to 5 entries (1 comment = 1 entry, 1 twitter follower = 1 entry, 1 blog post = 3 entries). That fictional reader would have increased her/his chances of winning by 400%.

If you have questions regarding this giveaway, don’t hesitate to ask. Good luck to everyone!

Well, as you may or may not know I am happily addicted to shoes and one of my fave shoe designers is mastermind Giuseppe Zanotti whose designs never fail to amaze me. Half of my wish list consists of his creations and these nautical inspired cork platform sandals were on top of this list for at least half a year. They originally retailed for $695, but even though they’re on sale now they are a) not my size and b) still too expensive for me.

Now look at these babies by Nine West! Think you see double? No, you don’t. Nine West’s “Cawley” Sandals are an almost identical copy of the above shown Giuseppe Zanotti patriotic sandals. I was so excited when I spotted these amazing, budget-friendly alternative. They come so close to the originals it’s almost illegal. 😉 LOVE. LOVE. LOVE!

Update: This post has been updated on November 10, 2009. Scroll down to read the news.

Alexa Chung is quite the fashionista. A few weeks ago she wore a pair of lustworthy black Acne lace up ankle boots which had a silver wedge heel and started a shoe craze among the fashion blogger scene. The wedges sold out within days after Alexa wore hers on her MTV show, but I was able to locate an online shop where you can still get hold of them. Yay!

I have a slight obsession with platform pumps right now. Yesterday’s post was about Gucci, today’s gonna be about these gorgeous, mega platform heels by L.A.M.B.. They might look a bit strange first, but once you take a second look, I’m sure you will appreciate their towering height. Not appreciable is the off-turning price tag however.

bebe “Riley” Satin Platform Pumps

When I look at this platform pump by bebe I seriously don’t see a single difference between them and the L.A.M.B. heels apart from the lining and the price of course which is about 60% less. What a great designer shoe dupe, gotta love bebe! Also available in shocking pink.

With shoes, it’s like that: the more the merrier and the higher the better. Almost every outfit can be stepped up a notch if worn with a pair of high heels. Don’t believe me? Try it yourself and you’ll see I’m right. Your legs will look leaner and longer and your whole posture will improve. Anyway… while I’ve never been much of a Gucci fan, I must admit I’ve been quite pleased (OK, more like obsessed) with their footwear range for Fall 2009. Especially with these triple platform stiletto platforms. So dangerous and surely super hard to walk in.

ALDO “Fogler” Platform Pumps

I first read about these Gucci inspired pumps by ALDO on Rachel Zoe’s website, so the finder’s credit goes out to her. They might not be quite as delicate as the Gucci heels, but at $125 they’re a great alternative if buying the real deal is out of question. Also available in grey and purple.
