Black Halo is not the most creative brand when it comes to innovative design. All they seem to do every season is to either change the hemline, color or fabric on their best selling dresses and voilà a new collection is born. Their formula works however! Good thing their collection consists of classic, timeless designs, so lack of creativity is subsidiary and hence can be forgiven.

I wouldn’t call Fendi one of my favorite designer brands, but when I saw these adorable white wedge sandals arriving at NET-A-PORTER
a few months ago, I knew it was love at first sight.

Fendi Metallic Suede Wedge Sandals
($840, SOLD OUT)
Shiekh Audrina-09 Wedge Sandals
These “Audrina-09″ wedge sandals by Shiekh are obviously inspired by the Fendi wedges above though these miss the metallic inlay on the wooden style wedge. However, they are still a great alternative if you are looking for a similar style and they also happen to be discounted right now. Other color options include black and brown (my personal favorite).

Finding a good pair of jeans is one of the toughest quests I have ever been confronted with as a shopper. It’s so hard to find a jeans that you feel comfortable in AND which looks good on you. At least for me. I always restrain from buying jeans online, but these Balmain biker jeans would be clearly an exception if they weren’t out of my budget.

Bebe Zipper Moto Skinny Jean
UPDATE (08/28/2009): Found another Balmain skinny jeans knockoff by Bebe.

Bebe Zipper Moto Skinny Jean
($99, Bebe)
Bebe Stitched Knee Skinny Jean
Bebe was once again heavily inspired by Balmain. This jeans is not a knockoff per sé because the stitching on the knees differs slightly and the zip detail is on the outside, but it’s obviously an attempt to recreate Balmain’s iconic rocker/biker jeans.

This one’s an oldie but goodie. Back in February 2008 Carrie Underwood attended the Clive Davis’ annual Pre-Grammy Party looking adorable in a monochrome tiered strapless chiffon dress by Marchesa. The black bodice had a cute black bow attached and Carrie perfectly accessorized her glamourous ensemble with matching bling and black satin YSL sandals.

Marchesa Spring 2007 Strapless Tiered Bow Dress |
ABS by Allen Schwartz Bow-Front Tiered Dress
When I saw this prom-like dress by Allen Schwartz I was instantly reminded of Carrie’s red carpet look above. While Carrie’s frock goes in the thousands you can have this Marchesa inspired look-a-like for just under $400 (or around $200 if you order at Bloomie’s). If you have a formal event to attend, this dress would certainly make you stand out.

I’m a sucker for white dresses. They are just perfect for summer and you’ll get an instant mood lift just from looking at them. When I first discovered this Marc by Marc Jacobs tiered halterneck dress I was madly in love.

We all first saw this dress on Blair Waldorf (aka Leighton Meester) in an episode of Gossip Girl called “Summer Kind Of Wonderful“. Leighton looked absolutely amazing and until today this look belongs in my top 3 of all her Gossip Girl outfits. Paris Hilton came second and British soap star Emma Rigby has worn this beautiful dress as well.

BB Dakota “The Sassy Dress”
I’v been looking for ages to find a knockoff dress of the Joelle dress and finally found it then on The Look 4 Less, but at the time I tried to place my order, it was already sold out. However, weeks later I now found the same dress on Karmaloop for $75. The BB Dakota knockoff dress might be missing the cute front-bow, but otherwise both dresses are practically identical.
To save even further, enter promo code TWIZZLER at checkout and you’ll get 15% OFF your order of $75 or more AND free shipping. Talk about a great deal!

Jeans will never go out of style. EVER. There might be small changes made each season, but you will always find a fashion mag declaring the return of the fashionable jeans. Destroyed skinny jeans seem to be le dernier cri right now. And even though I am a little hesitant towards white jeans, I must confess I quite like this one below.

If you don’t want to spend quite that much on one jeans, Bebe’s version might be just what you were looking for. The cut and look of both jeans is pretty much the same, but you’ll save $79 by opting for the Bebe jeans instead. Also available in black if you prefer a more subtle color.

If I had to make a fashion-related Things I want to Do Before I Die list, “wearing a Balmain dress” would be definitely somewhere in my top 3. After all, can you imagine NOT feeling like an ultimate goddess in the exquisite lace LBD below?
I like to think that the reason why Balmain dresses cost thousands of dollars is because they have sewn confidence into each piece, so whenever a woman wears Balmain she will be automatically oozing grace and feel sexy & fabulous. Yes, I’m fanboying again.

Victoria’s Secret angel Selita Ebanks was the first to wear this racy number back in March when she attended the New York Premiere of “Valentino: The Last Emperor“. She sure turned some heads in this mini LBD. Ex-Destiny’s Child member LeToya Luckett tried to pull off the same look at this year’s BET Awards, but failed miserably not least because of her clunky Alejandro Ingelmo platform heels.

Bebe Unzipped Lace Beaded Dress
UPDATE (08/15/2009): Apparently Bebe liked this dress so much, they knocked it off twice.

Bebe Unzipped Lace Beaded Dress

Bebe Sequin Beaded Ruched Lace Top
I know. You must be tired of reading all my Balmain vs. Bebe knockoff finds, but I will not stop and continue posting every Balmain knockoff under the sun because every woman deserves a little Balmain in her life, no? Even if it’s faux-Balmain.
Bebe seems now to be copying backwards from older seasons. In order to not be a too obvious copycat they made a top out of their Balmain knockoff version (considering the length of the original, the change does seem logical), but even that won’t hide all the other similarities. There’s no way their knockoff is going too look or feel remotely like the real deal, but for $89 Bebe has done quite a good job I think. Call me crazy, but I actually kinda like it.
