I’m so in love with this dress, it’s ridiculous. I’ve declared my neverending love for Alexander Wang many times before, he always amazes me with his newest creations. My latest addiction is this black bodycon Pre-Fall 2009 dress which has mesh insets on the neck and thigh. I just can’t stop gushing about it. It’s perfection. It’s all I want to wear. All day long. Ever!

The dress hasn’t hit the sales racks yet, but when it does it definitely will be in the $500-$1000 bracket.
UPDATE #1: The dress is now available at Shopbop for $565.

Bebe Mesh Inset Seamless Dress
Count on Bebe to get you fixed with some good ol’ knockoffs. I randomly browsed their site today and found this fantastic 1:1 Alexander Wang copy for $59.
I so want to buy, but shipping to Europe + taxes/duty costs are outrageous, the sum would total in 3x of the dress price. If I can’t find someone in the US being kind enough to buy and ship it for me, I won’t be able to get my hands on it. Grrrrrr, SO UNFAIR!

I loved, loved, loved Yves Saint Laurent’s Spring 2009 collection. Every single piece was bold and fabulous and I adored the caged heels that were presented on the runway.

Celebrities & YSL Spring 2009 Caged Heels
Unfortunately, the caged heels have long been ignored by the celebrity world, but the trend has picked up slowly since last month. Tilda was the first who was fearless enough to sport them on the red carpet. Ciara and Becki Newton followed shortly after.

Luichiny Star Bound Sandal
This YSL knockoff from Luichiny is not quite as extravagant as the original. You can see the shoe has been mainstreamed (bootie length, heel, open-toe), but it’s still a great alternative to YSL for a fraction of the price. Other available color options are silver and bronze.

P.S.: Also available at Heels.com
Bakers Ashton Caged Heel
If you want to save some more bucks, try this YSL alternative from Bakers. It’s quite the same as the Luichiny knockoff and also comes in either black, silver or bronze.

I’ve been wanting these woven Chanel booties for almost a year now. They first caught my attention when I spotted them on the Chanel Resort 2009 runway. It was love at first sight.

I almost forgot about my secret love for these shoes when I saw them again on Solange Knowles’ feet:

I began my online journey to find knockoffs of these ankle boots, but my search was luckless. No Chanel knockoffs far and wide. Until now when I spotted 2 of them on one day. Yay!
Jeffrey Campbell Cage Heel
This cage heel by Jeffrey Campbell is a good Chanel alternative, but I wish they would’ve taken the original swirled heel. Also available in tan at Bunnyhug.co.uk (£150)

GoJane Caged Peep-toe Heel
If spending $200 for a knockoff sounds off-putting to you, these woven booties knockoffs from GoJane ($39.90) might be just for you. They’re very much an exact copy of the Chanels except for the heel which is a stiletto here. Also available in 2 other color options: pink and green (ew!).
