I might not be the biggest Kardashian fan in general, but for some reason I always find myself interested in their fashion and what they wear on- and off the screen. Fact is, the Kardashian sisters have really stepped up their style game in the last couple of years (which is probably mainly due to them having hired highly skilled personal stylists and MUAs) and if I had to pick my favorite Kardashian fashion-wise, it would have to be Khloè Kardashian. I love that she wears all her clothes with so much confidence and it never looks as if she is trying too hard which I think is sometimes the case with Kim and Kylie’s fashion choices. A few weeks ago Khloé wore a super sexy strapless button-front sheath dress by Cushnie et Ochs for her TV show “Kocktails with Khloé” which instantly reminded me of Liz Hurley’s infamous safety pin dress from Versace that she wore to a film premiere in 1994. I love Khloé’s look head-to-toe here and really hope that ASOS, Topshop or Missguided will come out with a budget-friendly steal option in a couple of weeks for this sexy (and sadly, very pricey) dress. What do you think of Khloé’s revealing look? Hot or not?

I don’t know how they do it, but Yves Saint Laurent makes some of the most iconic shoes I’ve ever seen. Especially their “Tribute” collection is a hit among celebrities, fashion connoisseurs and us totally obsessed shoe freaks. I’ve loved the Tribute sandals from the first moment I saw them, but never got the chance to go for the real deal or snap up one of the various knockoffs (check!) back then when they were considered the “It” shoe of the year. My favorite Tribute sandal was the purple suede version with gold trimming, but the black patent version is of course more versatile.

Fersengold “Paris” T-Strap Platform Sandals

Update (05/01/2016): Just stumbled upon these spot-on YSL Tribute look-alike heels by German shoe brand Fersengold which come in either nude or blue patent leather. I also like the Fendi influencels here with the gold f-letter plate on the platform. They’re not the budget-friendliest steal find at £175, but might be worth the investment if you’re looking for a high-quality YSL dupe.

Update (05/02/2011): Here’s another great and almost identical YSL Tribute look-a-like coming from rsvp. The only noticeable difference is the lower heel. These come in black, fuchsia, red, nude, gold and silver patent. Apart from the black patent version all the other colors have been marked down to a super affordable $55.

Steve Madden “DAARLING” T-Strap Sandals

Update (03/28/2010): Check out Steve Madden‘s second take on the Tribute sandal. Available in black, nude & natural patent, denim and leopard.

I still prefer the first one, but this heel has some major advantages. It is a) not sold out, b) cheaper and c) way easier to walk in because of the lower heel (the platform helps, too).

Steve Madden T-Bar Platform Sandals

Update (12/04/2009): Woohoo! You lucky gals. ASOS is now selling the Steve Madden sandals at the amazing price of £32 at their online outlet store. That is 60% OFF the original retail price! I bought these babies full price six months ago there and they look absolutely fantastic in person. So worth the price.

YSL lovers, today’s your lucky day! These Steve Madden platform sandals have completely sold out everywhere else, but ASOS has still a few of these fabtastic heels in limited sizes available. Be quick to order because this is the final sale and probably also your last chance for a great YSL Tribute knockoff of such great quality. I love mine so much! They are absolutely amazing looking for knockoffs and while £80 were certainly not cheap, I haven’t put a second thought whether or not to buy them and ordered straight away after they added my size. My tip: if your feet are slightly wider than average I suggest you go at least half a size up so your toes won’t get squished.

If Schutz hasn’t been on your radar yet, I think these sultry-looking caged heels named “Juliana” are about to change that in a second. But let’s get the facts first: Schutz is a Brasil based footwear brand which has been around for 20 years now, but has only gained significant momentum in the last 3-4 years. Schutz’ success partly stems from the influx of fashion bloggers and famous Instagrammers wearing their shoes and “Juliana” seems to have been an especially popular shoe style of theirs (see picture collage below). You can often find designer-inspired styles in Schutz’ collections, but they always manage to infuse those inspired styles with the brand’s own unique aesthetic. I’m not sure whether “Juliana” is a designer-inspired style (if so, I couldn’t tell), but I absolutely adore it anyway! It’s such a sexy and flattering high heel and I just love the spider web-like, diamond-shaped cut-out design. Total shoe hotness! And while $190 isn’t a terribly expensive price for shoes (if you compare it to those of designer shoes, of course), there’s still room to save here, I think!

Public Desire “Satine” Caged Heels

And lastly, another steal-worthy Schutz alternative which I have come across at UK footwear e-shop Public Desire. Their “Juliana” inspired version “Satine” isn’t quite as detailed and delicate as the real deal, but overall it’s the same look and a great look for less option, because these heels here are currently on sale for less than £10. “Satine” comes in 4 lovely colors: black, fuchsia, aqua blue and white faux suede. Worldwide shipping is available, by the way. Total steal deal alert, everyone!

Dior has done it again! Once again they created THE hottest pair of sunglasses to have this season and I think the Split sunnies are my absolute Dior sunglass favorite yet! I just adore the horizontal lens band on the classic aviator shape (so unique!) and the luxe-looking color combos. AH-mazing! But also extremely expensive as these shades will set you back $555.

Self-Portrait. How could we have possibly missed out on covering this new and super coveted brand for so long? Sorry about that, folks. But before we head into showing you our best Self-Portrait steal finds, here are a few facts about the contemporary fashion label: it was founded in 2013 by Han Chong (also former creative director of Three Floor) and quickly gained red carpet and social media buzz shortly after, landing dress gigs with celebrities such as Reese Witherspoon and Miranda Kerr as well as personal style bloggers like Chiara Ferragni (The Blonde Salad) and Kristina Bazan (Kayture). The signature aesthetic of the London-based brand are feminine, romantic dresses and separates with lots of lace, embroidery and sheer overlays which have a surprisingly appealing price point: Dresses typically fall in the $500-$600 price range. And while I honestly applaud Han Chong for wanting to create a mid-priced fashion label with lots of attention to detail, $480 is still a lot of money for a lot of people (even though I’ll admit the “Azaelea” dress pictured below looks like it’s worth every penny of it). Keep on reading to find various stylish Self-Portrait dress alternatives for much less.

Aqua Lace Cami Midi Dress

Update (04/29/2016): I think I just stumbled upon the best Self-Portrait Azaelea steal find yet! Check out this lovely $148 lace midi dress by Aqua which is available in either black or light blue and is $332 cheaper than the real deal. Shhhhhh, don’t tell anyone, but Aqua has also various other great Self-Portrait look-alikes available here (e.g. this dress or this one or this one).

LuLu*s Pinnacle of Prestige Lace Midi Dress

If you can’t afford spending half a grand on a flirty summer dress, here’s our best steal find (yet!) which I discovered at LuLu*s some time ago. And I would’ve showed you this lovely $64 lace midi dress some time ago already, but it kept selling out so fast – restock after restock – that I didn’t even have enough time to finish up this blog post before this dress was completely sold out again, so I patiently waited until it got restocked for what feels like the tenth time now and for the first time it didn’t sell out in the first 60 minutes. Yay! However, this dress is obviously still wildly popular, so I wouldn’t wait too long with buying. Who knows if it’ll be restocked for an eleventh time?

H&M Lace Dress

Another gorgeous Self-Portrait Azaelea alternative is this lace midi dress by H&M. It’s currently only available in yellow, but it does look lovely and so similar to the real deal, right? I know $129 seems oddly expensive for an H&M dress, but be rest assured, I actually ordered this dress myself and it is worth its money, the fit is flattering and the quality is good. So if you’re a fan of yellow summer dresses, this one is a great buy!

And of course, where there’s a trend Jessica Buurman can’t be too far away. The design of their “Adice” dress is very close to the real deal (including the colors), but I can’t tell for sure whether it’s worth paying over $100 for, especially since I found various other dresses from similar Asian merchants for much less (see links below).

Free People South Of The Equator Midi Dress

OK, now this Self-Portrait steal find kind of irritates me. Don’t get me wrong: I love Free People and I looooove designer dupes. But what I don’t understand is how you can blatantly copy a $480 dress and then sell your own copied version for a whopping $300, thus making both dresses compete in the same price range? Now that’s a little shameless, isn’t it? Even for blatant copycats. Anyway, I still wanted to include this dress option because it does look a lot like the real deal and it is in fact still $180 cheaper than the original, so if you’re OK with paying that much money for a copycat design, feel free to do so.
